Associate Data Scientist / Data Modeler Process Development
For our client, Janssen Vaccines & Prevention, we are looking for an Associate Data Scientist / Data Modeler Process Development.
We are looking for a motivated Associate Data Scientist/Data Modeler within the field of Process Development. With several of the projects moving into late stage, the need to support studies by means of collecting, aggregating, and analyzing ongoing development and production data has been increased. Moreover, the need for historical data migration and comparative analysis has increased. Finally, the department needs to increase data-integrity by performing additional reviews. You will be primarily responsible for using available (online) production data from various manufacturing sites to support the creation of mathematical models and batch comparison. You will look for opportunities to maximize the potential of our available data to further our platform knowledge. You may support in the development, maintenance, and operations of automation systems, dashboards, and analytic tools. The result of your work will further enhance our process development activities.
Who we're looking for
For this role we are looking for an enthusiastic BSc. or MSc. candidate with a background in biopharmaceutical/biomedical sciences / biochemical engineering / biotechnology or bioinformatics. Some experience (1-2 year) in process development (lab/production/biotechnology) is required. You have strong programming skills and knowledge and you are familiar with programs like Python, SQL, Visual Basic, R, Spotfire, Tableau, and/or SIMCA. You have strong Affinity for data engineering, data(base) management, and data analysis. Experience with production, technology transfer, and knowledge of GMP is an advantage.

The drug-substance development (DSD) department is responsible for the development of scalable, pharmaceutical-grade USP and DSP processes for viral vaccines using mammalian cell lines as a production platform. Novel technologies are used to make sure that the processes are safe, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective, so that the vaccines can be produced in large quantities at low costs. The developed processes are transferred into GMP production facilities to produce clinical batches and scaled-up for commercial production. All activities are performed in close collaboration with other departments.
