What will you do?
Working for the R&D Category Management Team, you will bring new technologies to life! You will drive Pilot Plant facilities by supporting R&D Product and Process developers during trials. You ensure the readiness of Pilot Plant facilities and support HACCP validation of pilots.
In this role you will work with a diverse team of both young and experienced experts, varying from our internal food technologists to partnering with Process Engineers in the business, creating new products, design and build new process lines and find cost saving opportunities. As you will support R&D Projects, especially those within Process & Technology, time spent in the Pilot Plant and working on Projects is split around 70/30.

Areas of responsibility:
  • Working with other PP Technologists, Product Developers and Process & Food Technologists, co-ordinating trials in-line with Pilot Plant Planning . Prioritising and if necessary, re-prioritising according to the situation as needs change;
  • Upkeep of documentation & Product trials, in line with business objectives;
  • Promoting and Maintaining a Safe, Hygienic Working Environment;
  • Maintain GMP programme of Hygienic Cleaning in the Pilot Plant;
  • Raw Materials, Product Flow & Storage of Category Trial Products.

Who we're looking for

We are searching for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant area like Process Food Technology, with experience in working in a pilot plant in a food company.
  • Detailed, hands-on knowledge of using process equipment in a large food production or Pilot Plant operation;
  • Pilot Plant equipment, particularly in Mixing, Heating, Process and packing/Xray of R&D produced samples;
  • Basic knowledge of in-pack thermal processing;
  • Understanding of data analysis;
  • Understanding of quality and food safety standards including hygienic design, HACCP and GMP;
  • Fluent in English;
  • FLT Driver (desired).
