Profile

As a Quality Assurance Advisor, you will be responsible for the alignment in the way of working with our external manufacturers and suppliers to assure food safety and material compliance. In this role, you will also have a supporting role in continuous improvement of and support in Quality Assurance supplier processes/external manufacturers/ tollers to assure compliance and development. This all in the context of business, customers, operational site urgency and priority setting.
Your key responsibilities are:

Assure quality & food safety compliance of purchased materials (ingredients, packaging, and operational suppliers) with focus on external manufacturers and suppliers;
Have an effective supplier complaint handling process and continuous improvements in place;
Review, approve and maintain relevant supplier information within the F&B Product information system (SF 360);
Challenge the content of Standard Product Information in close co-operation with the appropriate stake holders (e.g. Expert, Product managers, Product Application Specialist, Regulatory Affairs);
Issue management in relation to external manufacturers and suppliers related to ingredients, packaging and finished products;
Project member of projects for selection and onboarding of new external manufacturers, suppliers, and materials;
Perform (risk-based) external manufacturers and supplier (qualification) audits (including reporting) for food ingredient, packaging materials, finished products and service providers;
Monitor and follow-up audit results (close out of NCs identified) to assure compliance to DSM F&B and food quality standards;
Perform risk assessments, support R&D and Product Management in clearance of new concepts.

Who we're looking for

The ideal candidate has a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in chemistry, food technology, microbiology or similar, with 2-5 years of operational Quality Assurance experience and auditing in the Food industry (manufacturing or business). You have at least 2 years of experience with suppliers en raw materials. You have relevant expertise in Food Hygiene standards and HACCP systems (e.g., GFSI (FSSC 22000, BRCGS and IFS ea.) together with basic knowledge of Halal and Kosher certification. Additionally, you have affinity with food processing and technical knowledge of production processes to ensure sound technical judgement on quality issues.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills on different levels (management to shop floor) who is able to deal diplomatically with internal/external stake holders. Are you the responsible team player we are looking for?
