We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist (Working Student) to support the data science team in developing and implementing analytical models. This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment, contribute to impactful projects, and enhance your skills in data science and analytics. You will work with large data sets to uncover trends, create predictive models, and help shape our data strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of data tooling to solve business challenges;
- Utilise Python and SQL to perform data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and analysis;
- Help shape the tooling for Multi Agent AI Systems using Databricks;
- Support the team in building and deploying machine learning models on the cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science workflows and best practices.
Who we're looking for
Are you currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, and do you want to gain hands-on experience with real-world data and impactful projects? Then we are looking for you!
You should have the following skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn);
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large data sets;
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems logically and creatively;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;
- A genuine passion for data science and a desire to learn and grow.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous internship or project experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry;
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks);
