Profile
The Quality coordinator plays a key role embedding and influencing quality in the Beauty and Wellbeing Business Unit, working alongside the BU’s cross-functional and leadership teams as well as quality teams from other business units and business groups.
The main responsibility is E2E quality, providing direction and leadership that drives a positive, consumer-focused quality improvement culture. In addition, you support innovation/transformation teams, manufacturing sites, and suppliers in a truly collaborative Quality partnership. The Quality Coordinator shares knowledge and helps with the upskilling across the BU and quality teams from other business units (including Go to Market Quality). The Quality Coordinator co-creates processes and ways-of-working for the Business Unit and takes the lead on initiatives to improve Quality Culture in the Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Support Unilever Quality and Business Unit strategy, governance and goals through specific projects and targets;
- Influence quality culture. Positively support consumer centric quality culture and its deployment across and through other functions within the business;
- Partner with the business unit on initiatives to improve Product superiority;
- Pre-emptive Risk Mitigation: Proactive, structured engagement in management of change to help with the identification and action plan creation for preventing and/or mitigating potential threats;
- Provide quality inputs and recommendations for business unit decision making forums, following risk-based approach logic (with the possibility of joining some of these forums);
- Support Quality and Business Unit digitalization strategy, including QA relevant Digital tools, translate business need to functional requirement for the tools, and coordinate roll-out & implementation;
- Use and analyze Quality data to drive insights, improvements, and to help shape the Quality strategy for the Business Unit;
- Support Country and Business Unit/Business Group in managing Consumer Safety, Legal or other incidents;
- Work with all relevant functions on the identification and transfer of “Best Practices” and “Lessons Learned” across the organization (within BU, BG and region);
- Provide overall quality coaching, upskilling, and quality trainings in his/her areas of competence;
- Quality management of global sourcing / cross regional sourcing of products, including the creation & sign off Intercompany quality agreements;
- Responsible for quality management of Business Unit innovations, renovations, savings projects, and introduction of new products into the European market;
- Responsible for quality management of new business models and/or new business channels within the Business Unit;
- Define with project team, project success criteria in line with fulfilling customer and consumer needs, while taking into consideration other business targets;
- Ensure that Unilever Quality Management System is followed by Business Unit in his/her area of scope including deployment of Unilever Quality management System;
- Support changes to existing and new manufacturing sites (SU/CM/M&A) through activities that assure quality/hygienic control processes are in place and operating efficiently;
- Help to define manufacturing quality required improvements and priorities across manufacturing sites through Business units;
- Provide support on continuous improvement and/or the co-creation of new quality framework, procedures, processes, and tools in his/her area of scope.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate has a University degree in general sciences or technical discipline (preferred: Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science or Microbiology degree), with at least 3 years of FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) experience in Quality.
