Profile
Are you a top-tier scientist with a passion for innovative research and a drive to continuously learn and grow? We are looking for a Senior Scientist in the field of chemocatalysis to join the dynamic team of InnoSyn. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are eager to tackle a diverse range of challenging projects, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you! Join InnoSyn and contribute to cutting-edge advancements in metal-based catalysis while working with top industrial clients and leveraging state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Your job:
- Contribute to cutting-edge advancements in metal-based catalysis, helping to shape the future of the field and drive the success of InnoSyn’s projects;
- Participate in chemical route scouting, directed at development of new and efficient synthetic solutions. You will formulate and advocate innovative ideas based on your scientific expertise. You will then guide execution of projects and communicate findings internally as well as to the customer;
- Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines within InnoSyn, gaining exposure to a wide range of expertises. You’ll engage in projects of varying scope, from long-term strategic initiatives to short-term challenges, fostering both depth and breadth in your work;
- Take full ownership of designing and executing your own project and experimental plans, driving progress and innovation within InnoSyn. Hands-on experimental work is part of the job.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. in homogeneo catalysis, preferably towards fine chemicals. You ideally have 5-7 years of industrial experience with exposure to high-throughput experimentation. Prior experience in leading projects and mentoring/supervising fellow scientists is expected. Additionally, you have:
- Excellent organisational skills. You can effectively organise your own work and co-ordinate efforts of others with a strong focus on producing reliable results;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. You effectively communicate ideas and results internally and externally. Prior experience in writing research proposals is a must;
- Excellent interpersonal/teamwork skills, with a natural ability to engage people and get the best out of them. You are highly motivated and eager to learn with a strong drive to succeed.
Department
A challenging, exciting job: with unique opportunities of cross-fertilisation between organic chemistry, flow technology, bio- and chemocatalysis as well as process intensification.
Collaborative and Cutting-Edge Environment: You will interact with leading scientists, both within and outside InnoSyn. They have state-of the art infrastructure such as on-demand 3D-printed reactors, data logging technology, a multi-purpose pilot plant cryo-flow skid and in-line analytical tools.
Dynamic and Stimulating Work Atmosphere: The working atmosphere is open, international, dynamic and stimulating.
