Profile
Within the Strategic Operations (SO) group of the Analytical Development Department at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden, we are looking for a motivated Senior Lab Technician. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to GMP-compliant testing and assay qualification activities for Advanced Therapeutics products.Your key responsibilities include release and stability testing of GMP/TOX and clinical batches, execution of assay qualifications in GMP-qualified laboratories, and performing routine assays with a first-time-right attitude. You work with analytical methods such as UPLC and HPLC, maintain accurate documentation including digital assay run sheets and laboratory notebooks, and support Process Development testing.
- Culturing of cells, including passaging and seeding;
- Writing and updating test instructions and work instructions;
- Contributing to environmental and utility monitoring programs within production clean rooms.
Who we're looking for
You hold an MBO or HBO degree in a life science discipline and have 2-3 years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment. You are hands-on, accurate, and bring a positive can-do mentality to your work.- Demonstrated experience with analytical methods (UPLC, HPLC) and laboratory management systems;
- Preferably, also experience with ELISA, PCR and cell culture, but can also be learned;
- Experience with assay qualifications and/or validations is a strong advantage;
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal;
- Flexible, quality-focused, and capable of building strong working relationships in a multidisciplinary team.

The Strategic Operations group is part of the Analytical Development Department within the Advanced Therapeutics sector. The team supports production and laboratory activities through release and change management of raw materials, environmental monitoring, stability testing co-ordination, and process analytical support for Product Development teams.Company profile
