Do you combine expertise in process intensification with strong leadership skills? We are now looking for a Team Leader Flow Chemistry to give direction to a world class team of organic chemists and engineers in InnoSyn's flow group. Ready to shape the future of cutting-edge chemical manufacturing?
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of low cost and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes across diverse industries, including pharmaceuticals, nutritional products, dyes, flavors and fragrances, monomers for high performance materials and products based on renewable raw materials;
- Lead a team of highly skilled organic chemists and engineers, with academic backgrounds ranging from bachelor to PhD level;
- Combine scientific expertise with strong organisational and leadership capabilities to guide the team and foster innovation;
- Enable the ultimate scalable industrial route for our customers. Work with state-of-the-art flow chemistry technology, such as 3D-printed reactors, to safely handle extreme reaction conditions and hazardous reagents;
- Play a pivotal role in transforming innovative concepts into scalable industrial solutions that give InnoSyn a competitive edge.
Who we're looking for
You have a PhD degree with (preferably) an engineering background in flow chemistry and at least 5 years of experience in the (chemical) industry. You keep yourself well-informed of current developments in the field and have an eye to translate new technologies in scalable industrial solutions. Hands-on experimental experience in flow chemistry, including the design and assembly of flow reactor setups, and the ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions are key in this position!
You have the natural ability to engage people and get the best out of them. You realise that collaboration is essential to be successful and you excel in organising a team including effective verbal and written communication. Proven line management experience is an advantage.

InnoSyn is an SME that primarily focusses on R&D towards the development of (bio)chemical production processes for third parties worldwide. InnoSyn currently has approximately 60 employees and is located at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen, The Netherlands. The company has a new pilot plant at its disposal. Although InnoSyn was founded only 8 years ago, it has a long and impressive track record in the area of development and implementation of industrial manufacturing processes that was built up over more than 40 years.
