Naturally, CLS will also have a booth where you can speak with our team members about your talents and career opportunities. Plus: we offer a free CV check to further increase your chances on the job market. We want people to feel welcome and at ease, because that is when you truly get to know them. Our common approach on a daily basis. At the BCF Career Event, we take this a step further in a special way. The team from stroopwafelbakker.nl will provide a warm welcome at the CLS booth. We speak with owner Bart Berkhout.
 
Why a stroopwafel baker?
“I just kind of fell into it,” says Bart. As a student, he was looking for a part-time job and found work at a stroopwafel booth at the market. The owner wanted to sell the business, and Bart bought it. Every Saturday, he stood at various markets baking stroopwafels. Not alone, he was supported by a team of bakers, and still is. Bart: “Finding staff remains a very precise search. CLS knows all about that. I have been at the CLS booth before, and it is always a lot of fun. The delicious smell and a cheerful face ensure that only pleasant people come to our stand. A stroopwafel is a delicious and accessible treat. Everyone likes it, and it is easy to eat on the go. The stroopwafel also appeals to the imagination internationally. It’s a typically Dutch treat.”
 
Stroopwafels create a moment of connection
Bart: “The best part of baking stroopwafels is definitely our service! We bake fresh stroopwafels, but our role is to enthusiastically welcome guests on behalf of our client. We truly become part of the team for the day. At the same time, I learn a lot about the industry and about people themselves. Out of genuine interest, I ask a few questions while baking the waffles: what they do now and what they are looking for. In that short time, I quickly get a sense of who I am talking to. And if I think an introduction to CLS could be valuable, I pass that person on to the CLS team members with a brief introduction. In essence, I generate warm leads with warm waffles. The best part is seeing people leave the booth with a smile.”
