    Profile

    The new Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain Lentiviral Vector (LVV) production facility in Sassenheim is designed to support the global J&J BCMA CAR-T programme for multiple myeloma. As an EHS Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for all EHS-related topics within the Business Unit and facility, working closely with manufacturing specialists, operators, engineers, and EHS representatives.

    You will lead and facilitate incident investigations, ensure proper reporting, and coach EHS Representatives and Ambassadors on the shop floor. In addition, you will perform EHS assessments for projects and process changes, support risk assessments across facility, ergonomic, chemical, and biosafety domains, and develop corresponding mitigation plans.

    You will prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, including ISO 14001/45001, J&J audits, and governmental inspections. Working closely with the EHS department, Biosafety Officer, and Operational Standard Owners, you will monitor EHS performance through data analysis and translate findings into concrete improvement actions. You will also contribute to developing a multi-year EHS strategy aligned with site objectives.

    Who we're looking for

    You hold a Bachelor's degree in Safety (e.g. HVK or Industrial Hygiene) or in Bio-process, Chemical, or Process Engineering, and bring 2–4 years of operational experience in a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical environment. You are familiar with pharmaceutical and bio-processing principles and GMP standards.
    Additional skills:
    • Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus;
    • Proactive and solution-oriented, with solid problem-solving capabilities;
    • Able to handle uncertainty, escalate issues clearly, and adapt your communication style to different stakeholders.
