Secondment

Secondment: a favourite option among clients and professionals

We have seen the demand for secondment through CLS grow steadily these last few years. Not only are clients increasingly interested in this option, growing numbers of professionals are also showing an interest in this format. Being employed by CLS Services gives them the freedom to work for different clients on a project basis. For clients the secondment option is interesting because it makes it easy for them to have access to employees who bring exactly the right knowledge and experience to the table, and who possess the latest insights in their specific professional field.

We are happy to assist with the demand for secondment. The procedure is the same as the Recruitment & Selection process. However, the professionals will be employed by CLS Services and we provide them with an excellent package of primary and secondary terms of employment as well as the latest pension facilities. But that's not all. Employment with CLS Services also means working structurally and systematically on personal and professional development. For us, coaching, workshops and training are an equally important part of a complete package that meets the requirements of the passionate professionals who choose this option - and the preferences of our clients, who get the optimal benefit from the knowledge offered by our professionals.

As NBBU member, we have a collective labour agreement. Being a good employer is important to us, so we offer in addition to the (minimal) conditions, described in the collective labour agreement, also some extras:

  • Each employee will accrue 25 days leave on a full-time employment (annually) and also ATV/ADV days (depending on the customer) are added to your employment terms;

  • We reward employees with an additional bonus of 5%;

  • We use absolutely no temporary employment clause ("uitzendbeding");

  • We don't apply a deduction of two days’ waiting period in case of sick leave and you get paid the first twentyfour months of sick leave simply by 100%!;

  • Travel expenses will also be reimbursed (based on public transport or km);

  • In addition, all employees from day one of employment can participate in StiPP Plan pension;

  • We can, depending on the terms of the client (hirer's remuneration) and/or agreement with hirer, add additional terms, such as a company car, 13th month, bonus, etc.

We think personal attention is at least as important and employees will therefore be accompanied during his/her employment with CLS Services. We will, in addition to the possible use of HR tools, visit employees on-site. We will also ask the client for input and feedback.

How do we operate?

How do we operate?

The first step, needless to say, is an inventory of the requirements of the organisation. We feel that an initial meeting with the vacancy holder is the best approach. We will discuss the professional expertise and personal skills needed for the role to be filled. We then use this inventory to jointly formulate the profile of the optimal candidate.

Then it's time to start looking for and selecting candidates. We will utilise our own database (approximately 7,000 candidates) and our immediate network, but also commercial databases and direct-search methods. From this initial selection we look for the candidates who meet your preferences and requirements, both professionally and personally. Together we select the most suitable candidates and invite them for an introductory meeting.

If it's a good match and both parties are happy to come to an agreement (whatever form it may take) we will proceed with the contractual aspects. In the case of a permanent position the client will conduct a terms of employment meeting with the candidate, after which your organisation will handle the administrative aspects. In the case of a temporary solution in the form of secondment CLS Services will employ the candidate. We offer excellent employment terms and aim to match them as closely as possible to those of the client.
